Sri Chinmoy
Sri Chinmoy의 사진전이 작년 UB의 후지필름 매장에서 있었다.
단 몇 장의 사진만으로도 그의 편안한 미소 속에 숨겨진, 말로는 표현할 수 없는 평화에 대한 그의 메세지를 알 것만 같았다.
사실 나에겐 그가 종교인이고 아니고가 중요하지 않다. 또한 누구에게든 그러하다. 단지 평화에 대한 참된 의미를 알고 이를 실천했느냐가 더 중요하지 않을까. 나에게 교감이 되는 큰 의미 그 자체로서의 사람은 아니지만, 내가 무언가 배울 것이 많은 사람일거라는 생각이 들었다.
Chinmoy Kumar Ghose (Aug. 27, 1931 – Oct. 11, 2007) was an Indian spiritual teacher and philosopher who emigrated to the U.S. in 1964. An author, composer, artist and athlete, he was perhaps best known for holding public events on the theme of inner peace and world harmony (such as concerts, meditations, and races). His teachings emphasize love for God, daily meditation on the heart, service to the world, and religious tolerance. A view that "all faiths" are essentially divine.
